You´ll see many of the famous ´Sound of Music´ locations like the 8th century abbey where the real Maria von Trapp spent time as a novice, as well as the movie´s famous `Do Re Mi´ fountain.
Discover the catacombs of the 13th century monks; spend time in the 8th century Cathedral; see the oldest restaurant in Austria (803 AD!) as well as the birthplace of the famous physicist, Christian Doppler.
After your guided city tour, we give you free time to explore Salzburg for yourself. Sample the local beer which they have been brewing for over 500 years or indulge in their famous ´Sacher Torte´- the best chocolate cake in the world!
